BETTER TODAY, BITTER
TOMORROW
In Genesis 6:2, an
incident took place that defiled human race, in clearer terms it can be said
“male aliens marrying terrestrial women” which implies that supper-humans were
marrying mortal humans (theologically, fallen angels were marrying earthly
women).
Now it came to pass, when
men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to
them, that the SONS
OF GOD saw the DAUGHTERS OF MEN,
that they were BEAUTIFUL;
and they took wives FOR
THEMSELVES of all whom THEY CHOSE. Gen.6:1-2
(NKJV). The only thing the sons of God could see is the beauty of
daughters of men, they did not inform God, their father, the giver of good and
perfect gift James 1:17, in making
their choice, but they chose for themselves. They preferred mortality to
immortality because of immediate and attractive results.
Demas backslide after 6
to 7 years he was with the Lord under the leadership of Paul because he loved
the present world-the beauty of the world swiftly took his attention perhaps he
got famous his destiny got cut short in 2Timo.4:10. Solomon had unholy affinity
toward Egyptians ladies perhaps to build his socio-political influence and have
the best of war ammunition. Samson, a man of valour, destiny and undisputable
Nazarite loved Delilah from the world of God’s enemies- Philistine. Solomon
could not hear from God again and Samson even though he killed more at his end
but he was disgraced, blinded and died like chicken.

the end product of this marriage was really fascinating because their children
were giants, mighty and renown (NLT) put it this way “…heroes and famous warriors
of ancient time”, what a mighty generation! Isn’t this fascinating?
Oh! They take things
serious than necessary! Must all be about God! I know what is good for me!
Because unbelievers most time get it right and have lovely marriage! These are
your thoughts and statements but go down to verse 5 of Gen.6 for you to know
who your children may turn out to be and the kind of reputation your lineage
may end up with: it was noted that evil and wickedness were there life
style-they were consistent, constantly and perpetually perpetrating evil.
Several time people suggested
I should go ahead to marry half-baked Christian or unbeliever that by the
reason of the grace of God upon my life I will change her: you my answer! I AM
NEITHER THE HOLY SPIRIT NOR JESUS though I have His nature. And you sing it all
the time “he’ll change, she’ll change!” I pity your shallow heartedness! God
specifically told the Israelites not to marry Canaanites or gentiles’ kindred
for their race to remain incorruptible. Remember “if you marry unbeliever or
church-goers devil is your father in-law”.
Do you desire heaven on
earth home?
You want to marry that
person who will assist you in making heaven successfully?
You desire your children
to follow the Lord without you stressing yourself than necessary?
Do you desire the
generation after you to be a heritage to, rather than terrors and
insubordinates to God and His kingdom? Please do not desire the men and women
of this world because there are still true children of God in the body of
Christ. Beloved! It is not about now it is about your future and the future of
your children, marriage goes beyond wealth, money, merriments, acting
Romeo-Juliet, fantasies, beauty/handsomeness and anything glistering.
I sincerely pray for you
today, “better today, bitter tomorrow” will not be your portion in the mighty
name of Jesus Christ!!!
